- Search the destination phone number if an English place name fails.
- Confirm the map pin, district, and nearby landmark before starting the trip.
- Share building, floor, and unit details separately when needed.

A perfect translation of a place name is less useful than an exact Korean address. Save the original text as a separate note instead of relying on the romanized version shown in a booking email.
Separate the property from the room
A road-name address identifies a road and building number, followed by the larger administrative area. That is enough for a map or taxi to reach the property. A building name can help confirm the destination, but similarly named buildings exist, so it should not replace the full address.
Apartment blocks, office towers, and guesthouses add internal directions. 동 is a building or block, 층 is a floor, and 호 is a unit. 지하 means basement. A delivery instruction such as 101동 1203호 identifies building 101 and unit 1203; it is not part of the public road address.
Why the same place can show two addresses
Korea uses a road-name system, but older lot-number addresses still appear in local records and business listings. A map result may show both 도로명 and 지번. They can point to the same property. When a form asks for 주소, use the road-name address unless it specifically requests 지번.
Do not mix pieces from the two systems in a single search. If a booking platform gives only an English address, open the location in a Korean map and copy the Korean road-name version. Keep the destination phone number as a second search key because Korean map databases often match it precisely.
Confirm before you move
A successful search is not the same as a confirmed destination. Compare the district, map pin, business category, and a nearby station or landmark. For hotels, check that the Korean place name on the map matches the name on the building photo. For taxis, show the driver the Korean address and pin before the car starts moving.
For deliveries, the last few meters matter. Add a door code or call instruction only in the service's private delivery field, never in a public review or map listing. If you do not have a Korean phone number, confirm in advance how the driver or host will contact you.
